WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Why choose Golden Isles Yoshukai?
We strive to provide our students with the highest most effective quality of Martial Arts and Self-Defense training in the industry.
Golden Isles Yoshukai operates with the philosophy that “good enough isn’t good enough” We do not accept a second rate attitude with our students or our training. Instructors and students set a path to become their best every day.
We encourage family involvement and participation in all Karate activities! Along with providing instructional tools for at home training and offering special classes on both Mother's Day and Father's Day, we also pull parents and siblings onto the training floor to serve as pad holders, board holders, serve as guest judges during tournament preparation and and many other things that make Karate a family activity.
Because unlike other martial arts schools, we do not hire instructors from outside of our own dojo or style. Black Belt Instructors and Senior Grade Students teach in order to give back as well as increase their own learning and understanding.
In that we are part of a martial arts legacy teaching traditional Japanese Karate with a clear lineage to Japan and Okinawa.
Because we do not require you to sign contracts, we don't have to. In that we do not charge extra for "programs" like learning weapons, board breaking, performing in demos, and tournament competition preparation.
Because our affiliation with the YMCA keeps our operational costs low which in turn keeps our tuition low. We boast some of the lowest tuition in the Golden Isles! Additionally the YMCA offers limited scholarships for those needing financial assistance
We offer a large open training floor Workout facilities are available to parents who do not wish to sit and watch but improve their own fitness. Lockers and storage areas for personal items Plenty of seating for family and friends
International Sumer Camp, Local Beach Training, Weapons and Fighting Seminars and other annual training opportunities.
